Vedra’s newest single “Tired” is a fast-paced, unhinged, self-aware apology that proclaims what we’re all thinking right now — “I’m really tired.” The dichotomy between the dark lyrical tone and the upbeat, bright music perfectly parallels the juxtaposition of the verses and the rest of the song. With lead singer, Branon Jaggers shouting lines like “I hold my breath hope for death, looking for the day that my lungs cave in” and “I think I’m tired, I’m really tired,” the song feels like the diary of someone desperately clinging to their sanity while trying to convince everyone else that they’re okay. In true Vedra fashion, the listener is taken on a lyrical and musical rollercoaster ultimately paying off with an explosive and uplifting outro that delivers a sense of hope for what lies ahead.
